Hi. I'm new here and appreciate the opportunity to ask about some interesting stamps, covers and other items I have had for about 50 years. Just now trying to learn more about them and value for potential sale. I accumulated these from an old estate in Baltimore, Maryland in the 1970s.
This is a folded letter written on February 22 and March 15, 1717 addressed to Lincolnshire. This letter, as was done back then, was folded and sealed with a wax seal and addressed on the outside. It has an old period hand cancellation which looks like the numbers "2, 2" over "T,P" in a circle.
Very interesting and old! If anyone has information about this letter and cancelation, I would love to learn more. Does this have any value? I know that vlaue is not based on age alone.
Thanks a lot for any information!
