I guess adding perforations to a Type 2 might help to allay suspicion as to added margins. Perforations on genuine Type 2s seem to have been done on a really knackered machine.

Well, in the end; this was part of a lot that cost almost nothing, so I learned something. Germania; have the same in my SG book; but bought the lot not based on this stamp. Only became a post so to speak when I started looking at this and wondering what was amiss when nothing matched up in SG/Scott. In all honesty, am quite impressed with the "carpentry" that was done on this example. Pretty impressive in all honesty!
