Bundi Sacred Cows Issue - Forgery Or Genuine?

Hello!
I have a set of the sacred cows Bundi stamps in my collection, but I am not sure how a genuine stamp would look like...The paper of most of the stamps is slightly yellowish and thick. Three stamps (1/4, 2 and 8) have a much thinner paper which makes them appear more fragile. The black and red stamp on the top are different as well, but look more clearly fake to me.



Are these more thick paper variants the products of the infamous Allahabad forgers?

According to the Serrane Guide of Forgeries "specialty catalogs must be consulted". Here is one reference:



There is a philatelic library in Munich; you could check there. There are several other publications for Bundi which may be of use but the one I noted is specific for forgeries.

Top row - the first half anna black looks like an Allahabad forgery to me. The 1 anna red looks genuine. Next row - the quarter anna blue and the two annas green are genuine. Bottom row - 8 annas orange is genuine.
I don't like the look of the rest, but if the one you have shown from the back is typical, these are not Allahabad forgeries, as the one you show does appear to be typographed.
There were some forgeries that appeared in Bundi's actual stamp stock, and these may be from that source, and therefore definitely collectible. I will look for some illustrations of these to compare.

Here is an image of a sheet of the Bundi Type 1 forgeries.
If you look closely at yours, they share some of the characteristic flaws visible in each cliché.
I am confident that those I identified above are the Type 1 forgeries, which date from 1923 and are probably scarcer than the genuine stamps.
