I apologize for using the term "progressive" as it has political division overtones.

No need to. This walking on eggshells over using common words and terms has got to stop. It is poisonous to society and communicating. Whether it has "undertones" or not you are free to use it. Some people here use the ugliest inflammatory language and remain members while others are afraid to use words like progressive. Ridiculous.

I guess when you move billions of pieces of mail even a small percentage of issues affects a lot of people. To be handled that many times (assume by tracking date stamps) something is not right.

Did your shipping issue get resolved or is it still ongoing?

I *think* it is solved, but no thanks to the USPS AI initiatives, but rather the advice of a local postal clerk.

Putting the return address on the back accomplished nothing. Parcels still getting waylaid.

She suggested putting my return address back on the front again, but printing it in a much smaller font. So I did, making the print so tiny that the cameras in the hubs will likely not pick up the address, but it's still readable to the naked eye should a human need it.

Two batches of parcels using this method thus far, and not one has come back. They're all going through to their destinations.

So that all but cinches it that the problem is with the AI algorithms programmed into the camera systems at the Chicago hub.
