For those who haven't been to the North End in Boston before, the North End is well known for all of the great Italian restaurants-- if you love Italian food, don't miss out on the North End.

The North End is the largest Little Italy neighborhood in the US. It is a pleasant walk approximately 1.5 miles / 2.1 km from the exhibition center. For $20 (one way) you can also take the Boston Water Taxi from the seaport to the North End.

For those who enjoy beer, I highly recommend Trillium Brewing at 50 Thomson Place (their Fort Point location). They also have a restaurant with above average pub fare. It is a 0.5 miles / 0.8 km from the front door of the exhibition center and they brew some excellent beverages. It is popular with locals and tourists alike, so it can get crowded and loud.

I'll correct myself before someone else does. Apparently the North End is not the largest Little Italy in the US, but it's bigger than NYC's and that's what matters.

...and while I'm here again, I'll add that Trillium takes reservations.

I'm sure it's bigger now; 60 years ago it might not have been. But Chinatown has been encroaching on it for 50 years so it's only a shadow of what it once was.

Boston and NYC are not as well known for Italian food like Federal Hill in Providence R.I. . It is the best for Italian culture .
