Seems Linn's is a bit late in helping us easily identify the usual subtle differences on these new US definitive issues , in the case the June 9th American Icons Flag stamps.

I see the usual USPS micro imprinting going from one side to the other on the flag bottom on most. I use the wonderful Jim Bardo dealer site to help on these pretty simple methods. Thanks in advance Jim!

Specifically though , how to distinguish 6111 and 6112 from their look similar coil counterparts that have just right and left only booklet perfs ? Is it just a matter of perf size or type to help ?

okay w/o picture assist: I think the Flag in the American Icons has additional wording versus the coil/sheet/booklet issue of the same design Icons has wording 'American Icons' whereas others do not. Also I think the Icons issue is LARGER... actually, where did you get those Scott #s?

Are you assuming the Flag issues are next in-line, then the Icon Issues. I have the Soccer issue as 6105 (from Virtual Stamp Club listing). Waiting for the Icon/Flag/Sunset issues to be tagged. Usually I wait for the Scott Stamp Monthly to come with new SC# listings. Haven't seen June yet so went with the noted reference. (That completed the Boston Show. Issues.) The Scott Stamp Monthly usually details the differences quite clearly.
