Good day everyone,

I have found an rather beaten up 1920 Ukraine Stamps 3gr Farmhouse stamp. My research indicates that this particular set were unissued during Ukraine's period of independence and were not used.

This example has a distinct blue cancellation, but doesn't have enough detail to gleam more information.

Do any of you have any insights on this? I would also appreciate wider thoughts. Perhaps they were put into use, but I have not found any examples online.

Many thanks

Not being on a cover is a disadvantage to determining postal use. The cancel/marking is not clear, so there is no date or place to reference. It could have been affixed as a fantasy label, while an actual postage stamp was used for mailing. It may have been marked off-cover, with any marking applied. It definitely has a story, but unfortunately is lost to time. I think the only way to determine the meaning of the marking is to find another one with more context around it...

It is a shame yes, I love a story like this.

I keep looking at the cancellation. The A in the bottom right of the cancellation and the crest of sorts in the middle.

It would be great to see another used example for comparison. At present I haven't found another used example of any of this set, even if that use may not have been official given the lack of information.
