Pictured are 2 Canada 742 stamps. The one on the right is listed in the catalog as pictured, but the left stamp is not as it shows extra blue shading. Is this an error or is it an unlisted variety? The tagging is present on both stamps.
In the nomenclature of EFO collectors it is a freak, not an error. It may be worth a few dozen pennies more to a specialist collector. Such shifts do not merit catalog listing. That said, it appears the stamp has also been stained by something blue but the illustration does not allow for an adequate inspection.
