In 1939 and 1940 Denmark issued a set of three semi-postal stamps (Facit #s 2898-91) aiding the Danish Red Cross. Queen Alexandrine is shown on the stamps.

Here is Denmark's June 24, 1959 set of two semi-postal stamps (Facit #s 401-2) commemorating the centenary of the Red Cross movement.

The stamp commemorates 75th Anniversary of Red Cross of Lebanon.

This large (97mm x 42mm) personalized postage stamp/label of Switzerland appears to have been created by the Swiss Red Cross for use on a blood drive mailing. It carries a simple, direct message, "A monetary donation can also save lives!"

Second pic shows the back of the label. Users of Avery Dennison self-adhesive labels will recognize the "Fasson" inscription. The diagonal die cuts are marked with gray lines.

On May 28, 1984 Finland issued this set of 2 stamps (Facit #s 948-9) to publicize the September 1984 world-wide peace conference held in Mariehamn, Aland and sponsored by Finland and Sweden.

Semi Postal: Lao Red Cross Day - 1953

The Lao Red Cross (LRC) movement was established on January 1, 1955 and recognized by the International Red Cross Committee on May 23, 1957. It became member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on October 25, 1957. The LRC movement was not independent and was under the supervision of Royal Lao Ministry of Health.

These semi-postal stamps were surcharged to raise donations to the Lao Red Cross movement. They depict Lao girl carrying her little brother, a common sight in Laos. Designed by Marc Leguay and engraved by Jean Pheulpin:
