It is definetely ILL. I initially thought Bloomington as well. I will double check a list I have with some examples |

Gotta be Bloomington, Illinois.  Gotta disagree with the Reverend DJD - first time I think. FDC's are not precancelled. A precancelled stamp is cancelled before being applied to the mail piece. A FDC may be cancelled before the date of issue - a different thing. Makes it a souvenir.  |

Hi MikeA good point. My take is that the item FDCs is canceled prior to issuance, Canceled in bulk prior to purchase. I hope that you are enjoying the house on the lake. Nice Example Of A FDC Probably Canceled To Order.  The Beauty Of These Covers Are, If It Were Not For The Collector At that Time These Examples Would Not Be Preserved.  DJD
