Note precancel all the way on the right (first row). It's cancelled all the way across the stamp. Others have line breaks which I understand make them worth more. I think these qualify. Gussyboy1 |

Gussy,
For information and publications see the Precanceled society's web page I am sorry I don,t have the link here but you should find easily via google. I know they have several publications available that may help you pursue your interests |

Hello everyone......
Precancels can be a fun side collection. One way of collecting that you may not have considered is to collect using only one stamp or set of stamps like the 1938 Presidents or the Liberty series.
Hi Gussy.....
Quite a nice group.....I say it's a lucky find considering that you've just started and don't have a large stock to look through.

BTW, This is not my page although I wish it were-I have the owner's permission to show this. Some great examples of double gaps on precancels----(note PLATE# on Bicycle stamp-do any of you check for Plate#?? I do now!) Thanks! Gussyboy1 |

i've posted this before on one of the other topics... but would the stamps here with the red lettering be considered a precancel or something else? |

I am currently sorting over 1,000 precancels. I have a good idea that they are going to be a lot of large cities. These were a gift from a fellow member of the stamp club I belong to, whom is a precancel collector. He had also helped me out with about a dozen cities for my route 66 collection. I still haven't figured out exactly how I am going to display them. |
