Difficulty Finding Collectible Stamps !

I was asked to bring back some current Netherlands stamps...the shops have the 3 most common stamps..to use on postcards etc: but the postoffice as we know it is gone....we went to a market town today and I found a stamp shop that had the current Dutch stamps in the window..but hes on vacation until October 30 !! The officials who issue stamps are sure not making it easy for the collector !! Just an aside...i forgot how tall the girls are over here...they tower over me in the market streets !!

yes netherlands lovely place make sure you have a totast with butter and strawberry jam out of this world also dont forget toto go the tusaauds and anne franks house and get some nice flowers. just buy the stamps from the schipol airport they have a stamp shop there close to the train station ticketing window.

oh well those days are never coming back sigh

You can select from a list of stamp sellers who are also members of the Dutch Stamp Sellers Association.

Tinus, I am currently in Meppel..we were in Soest for a couple of days and then on to Hook of Holland..having a great time with relatives but its hard to break away..have to let them entertain !!

Thanks guys, I think Spocks idea is a plan..we will be going to the airport from the Rotterdam area by rail...i hope the stamp shop is still there !!
