I am looking specifically for a United States cover cancelled on Sept. 7, 1943.
Does anyone know of a site or sites with a large number of covers I can search through?
Or can someone suggest a systematic way to look for this?

smauggie, I guess I am doing something wrong. When I put Sept. 7, 1943 in the text search, I get over 118,000 hits. I am using the advanced search on this site and entering the date in the text search box, and limiting it to United States. |

Ditto, I will now retire for the next week to shop on buckacover. This is a fantastic site.
I suppose it has finally happened---I have crossed over into the twilight zone. Covers and more covers. I am now officially into cover collecting. |
