Farthest I ever got was sending letters to fictional people in very, very remote locations. As I was a kid I couldn't afford to register the letters so they did not accumulate as much in the way of markings as I had hoped.

Bray was a serious collector. Postal stationary and autograph still have a great success today. It's always interesting how someone obtain an autograph from a celebrity.

That's great Bobby!

In the article, there is a reference to "idiot-proofing"

When I used to teach computer programming, I always told my students that no matter how much time you spend idiot-proofing a system, someone will build a better idiot.

It seems that if all goes well, there are plans to roll out the idiot-proof system in Birmingham, Manchester, and Stupidton.

smauggie you want a green coconut or a fuzzy brown one, I live in South FL... my sister got one in the mail about 8 years ago with her address in magic marker and a short note from her boyfriend something suggestive about her coconuts...

I dont know if the mailing rules have changed but can see why not other then the (liquid or perishable, potentially hazardous?)

Great post Moonbird.

Peaches, balloons, lego, money
this guy will mail anything

Note: navigating can be tricky
if you click on "Fruit" then at top "more fruit"
you eventually come to where he mailed a coconut

I don't know Edwin. Homeland Security might see it as a possible bomb. You never know what that coconut has been filled with.
