Though I would like to hear the reason why you don't think I have it.

The first six years of my collecting, I often bought
Chinese stock books full of dedicated countries.
Spain was always very well represented, I have passed on
literally thousands of Francos, I am now in my eleventh year
and still have not met up with the 1p40.
I don't use ebay, so that route is not considered.

Rod,

I've checked my Francos and have at least one of each except the 1.40 Pt. Most are used, some mint.
Included in my bunch is even a 1 Pt red which is listed in Scott (2007) at $13 MNH and $1.25 Used compared to all the rest which are for the most part the minimum 20c.
Just shows again how much fun one can have even with very cheap stamps.

Re the Franco 1,40 - weird how rare it is. I have a large collection of Spain, and have pretty well every one of that definitive - but only 1 of the 1,40 - and that's a very lightly mounted mint. Yet the SG cv is only 20p!

Here's where it gets funny...I had several items I was going to be purchasing from that seller anyway, so when it arrives, I'll send it on to you.

Thank you Cjd, if you can part with it it will have an honored place in my nearly complete PI collection. If not, I will certainly understand.

10-4 on the watermark difference. My PI Specialized catalog also shows a lilac & green (4th printing) a red lilac & green (6th printing) and three color shift varieties in addition to the normal 20 & 38 printings shown in Scott's.
