It would appear to be an issue not just on that stamp forum. The admins on certain boards abuse the little bit of power they have which makes for an unpleasant environment. Thankfully there doesn't appear to be an issue here |

AnthonyUK welcome..
These forums are very tame. Personal attacks are not tolerated. Even when joking one must be careful not to offend. and the simple thing is if you don't like what a person says about something, just ignore it.

Thanks guys. There are a lot of familiar names here so I guess I'm not the only one with that opinion Quote: if you don't like what a person says about something, just ignore it Amen to that. KGV I am busily reading through your detailed thread on KGVs. Excellent stuff. |

I have to admit to be a bit confused by what I read in BeeSee's link. I had been warned a few times about going there and so never did. Having seen it now, it was a good piece of advice. I also recognized a name or two that I had seen complicating matters elsewhere on other forums....and all this on a board that looked quite complicated and strange. No thanks. I am in the right place. Londonbus1 |

lol.. I went into the "expertizing" forum.. saw my stamp in there. apparently Bill Weiss posts images of stamps and solicits others opinions or gives them a "test" |

Bill's a good guy. Very solid, very friendly, excellent value for the money. He will also spend the time explaining his opinion to you if necessary. |

I've posted a couple of threads / questions on VSC and received nothing but good honest answers and they were actually quite helpful. There are a few over there that like to test each others professional egos. |

I am not ashamed to say, I am now active over there as well as here. Mostly in the expertizing forum.. yeah there are a few ego fights, but name calling and such are not tolerated. |

SV well I try to sell on occasion..i feel better when I offset my purchases with a sale...every once in a while I sell a post card or a cover on ebay..the market can be fickle...on bidding I will only go a certain amount and thats it..that means that someone usually beats me out by 1 bid !! |
