Thought some might find this interesting. A friend visited the area some years ago and sent me this postcard

I understand this is claimed to be the remotest part of the British Isles and that there has been no year round population since 1930. The handstamp on the card reads "The Furthest Station West":

I had never before seen that stamp with the airmail lozenges. I love it. Will have to look up St. Kilda.

The stamp was Great Britain's First airmail. Issued in Self-Adhesive booklets of 4 with regular gummed airmail etiquettes, in the year 2004 !
All of Britains airmail stamps since then have been similarly issued.

ST.KILDA

Uninhabited sine 1930, here is a sad and poignant story about the Island.Even stamps get a mention, albeit cruelly !
