I'm with Nigel. I have to take the minute by minute emotion out of it or I am a sucker to just keep bidding - jeff

Well, I'll have to admit to being a sniper. However yesterday, after reading this thread for the first time I questioned myself. "Is that really fair?" So whilst searching through ebay yesterday I took this into consideration, and chose to place my bid and get involved in an early bidding war. I too quickly reached close to my max bid, and now I wish I would've just sniped...but theres still time left!
I also agree with Jeff when he says sniping helps detach the emotion from the auction...now I'm sitting here waiting and watching out for any action. Sigh...
