OK. I finally bought this stamp for a high price but somehow I am not able to feel happy about it. I always wanted this as a used stamp and now, I am feeling tempted to soak it off the damned cover. what do you suggest guys is it wise to soak it off the cover or should I sell/trade it off with someone for a used piece sometime in the future ?

Definitely not. The cover is very attractive and also adds value. I would mount on a page by itself using clear photograph corner mounts.

I agree, add an additional page for the whole thing into your album, espically since its been something you've been looking for.
I'm not a cover collector, but I see the beauty in the whole item there.

you could always frame it and put it above your stamp work area. that way you always see it, its displayed nicely and you feel each day your getting your moneys worth! I bet it would look great in a Oriental art frame!

unfortunately I don't hold stamps in a book with hinges. I have a stock book with glassine rows.

Wow, they make it hard to link to the images on yfrog but anyway, here it is.

I actually like this. One of my bugbears about mini sheets is that they aren't postally used enough so this is great to see.

Don't remove the mini sheet because just a small portion of the postmark is on it and also the whole cover is beautiful.
You can always buy a Vario sheet and slide it in there. Daniel

jagsp - why not get some loos leaf stock sheets eg Lighthouse Vario (see the forum about stock books etc) - great for displaying special stamps as you can see the whole stamp, and they come in a wide range of strip sizes. The 2S will take 2 envelopes per page, double sided.
