Many of us have stamps that could benefit another collector..i guess the key word is patience..if two people take the time to build up a rapport..they can usually find items to help one another...for years now David Giles and Bobgggg just send stuff to my wife and myself..she probably gets more than me..but thats because they just know what we collect.sometimes I even send them something back ! theres not much better than paying someone for a stamp with a duplicate or a stamp you do not need..and its fun...another key word is be fair..if someone sends you something..give something worthwhile in return.its just comnon sense and you can find trading partners that can last for years...i have had people who requested certain items and sent me junk in return...that a one time trade !!

I fully agree with 'philb's comments.

I used to belong to a trading group where you entered your duplicates or not-wants for circulation and then received form others their entries. You traded usimg your account that was accumulated from the sale of your stamps to others. No money was used, just the value of the stamps.

Unfortunately the organizer of this trading group - "Sieggy" - passed away about 2 years ago and I have not looked/found another trading group.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hello

I always trade, like trade stamps, I know many forums/sites/list on I advertise or try to find a trade.

All time receive that emails with: "your 50x50 no catalog or wantlist" or "fauna mint of your country" or "need only 2000-2010 new issues". For that mail, I ask for a "penny black" and they donīt come again.

But I make good trades and with many honest people. Still do no have a all-life-trade-partner, I try to help with Machins when I receive a new lot, but receive free-stamps and donīt give any on return, do not like that, I prefer not receive nothing. maybe that is way I donīt have a lifetime-trade-partner.
