Protecting Covers Question

I was wondering what would be the best way to protect my covers and postcards. The majority of my covers are really old. I have some of them in Mylar sleeves. I was thinking of using PVC free soft sleeves for the lesser valued and rigid sleeves for more valuable. The sizes vary too since most are European. I am open to suggestions on how you store your covers and postcards. Do you store them in cardboard box, plastic bin, etc? I have too many for binder/pages.

I would suggest an acid free, archival safe photo/video storage box and then use the non-PVC, acid free, archival safe cover sleeves. I would also place them upright and not stacked on top of each other to allow for "breathing room" and to minimize bowing in the covers themselves. You can then organize & reorganize them however & whenever you choose easily. Index cards or the alpha tab cards come in handy for quick access to different countries, topics, era's, or scott numbers.

like the New Orleans stamp shop, or subway stamps, ect...
