Guess I'll start this one out (picture-wise anyway).

So I'll start out with the first president of the United States. Here is a "2 cents 2" Washington. Haven't a clue which issue though. I guess I really do need to get a perf gauge and catalog sometime.

That little piece at the top is an ancient hinge that I need to soak off (carefully - I think I'm going to try the folded washcloth trick).

Is this a cork cancel?

Woohoo, I just noticed that this is my 100th post.

Stamphop....

Stamp is #220 (55cents) printed by the American Banknote Company FDI, Feb. 22,1890. Keep an eye on others that look the same, 2 common varieties have small "caps" on the numbers....cap on left 2, used...$10.00.....caps on both 2's, used $30.00. And yes, this is a worn/sloppy cork cancel.

I like this style of Presidential stamp. I bought a friend of mine in L.A. the mint set of these--he's a presidential whiz.

Thanks!

I didn't have as many as I thought but I can fill in a few. If you want, email me with your address and what else you collect and I'll send them out with whatever else I can find.

I guess my hubby said something about some java thing and I can't email from the forum.

Let me know what you collect or if there are any recent Canadians you would like.
