Hey Everyone!

I recently came across a box of about 200 vintage postocards. None of them have portraits and though some are foreign the majority of them are of different historical places in the U.S.Many are from the early 1900's. I'm tempted to sell the whole box but a "little voice" inside me persistently advises me to look more into it. What postcard companies are people looking for or what type of postcards? Look forward to your answers.

I would look more into it. While I would mention the publishing company in a listing it's primarily the postcard topic that's the biggest seller. Small town views are big sellers as well as as unusual and popular topics - airplanes, cars, trains, dogs, Halloween, Santa and others. Also make sure to show the message side, especially if used as sometimes the postmarks can be very interesting - towns and different styles. Usually the stamps on a postcard tend to be common, but look for coils and other varieties. Also sometimes you can find a good Christmas Seal canceled on cover too.

Okay thanks I will. But where would be a good place to view completed listings to compare or a good place to sell them. I have many smalltown views, but how do I get them to see it/

If you have an ebay account you can view completed listings on there from the last 30 days.

Also look for DPO (Discontinued Post Offices) or RPO (Railway Post Office) cancel. Many of these can add a big premium to the price.
