So here's the start to my collection!
I won a few ebay auctions, plus there's some stuff from my grandfather in there.
Some aren't in the best condition but that's ok with me for now, just trying to familiarize myself with all the different varieties.

I've got a few doubles in there, there's one I have a question about; the R77c. One is very bright and the other is duller, now in Mr. Friedberg's book he mentions that the early printings of the first issues are indeed duller than the later printings. I was wondering if this is the case or did this one just age more through the years?

Well I've got my eyes on a couple other auctions so hopefully my collection will grow a bit more

Looks like a great start. Personally I love the US Revenue stamps and have started seeking them out still on documents. The real trick is to find them on matching documents (If Revenue Collector stops by he can explain it a lot better than I can) as they are highly collectible. I think the engraving that went into the revenue Stamps is as good as any US stamps produced, not to mention some great manuscript cancels. perhaps you could do a few close up scans of some ?

NeoRev be careful on the ebay auctions..its easy to get hooked same as gambling or drinking...they try to draw me in.but I set a certain figure in my head and thats as far as I bid...perhaps thats why I get outbid by 50 cents on so many auctions !

Looks like you are off to a good start. There are several revenue collector here that have very good knowledge, I'm sure they will be of assistance to ypu.
