How about a penguin list? (Semi-sort-of-almost inside joke, trusting that any frayed nerves have since been smoothed out a little bit ....)

Ha! Yeah. Mostly. :^) Boy, did that go pear-shaped. Don't think I lost any friends, but sure as hell made some enemies. Lots of lessons to be learned -- most of which don't belong posted in the clear, and probably nowhere without lots of beer -- but reminders of "beware Murphy's Law", "no good deed", and "sleep on it before hitting 'Send'" have to be near the top of the list. :^)

Anyway, yeah, penguins are the topic I'm asking about ideas for selling over in the other thread. As for topical collecting in general, I was maintaining an ATA checklist on another theme for a while, since -- while we're on the "topic" of thankless jobs. :^)

Ooh, that would be good for the ATA! We could seed it with stamps of every president anywhere ever and go from there. ;^)

McGee --

There are several Polar Philately groups like http://www.polarphilately.com/

I'm sure Penguins would be a nice fit for those folks.
