Hello,
here I am going to share my First issue collection with you.
For people who don´t know what are FI stamps: First issues are stamps which was first time issued in that country. E.g. In USA it is 5c Franklin 1847, in GB Black penny 1840 - first stamp ever, etc...
Now I have in my collection first issues of theese countries:

I've often thought this would be a great topic - but have been put off by the price of many First Issues.

A worthy topic...i can help you with #1 Guatemala and one of the French "colonies" not certain but it may be Ivory Coast will have to check...and they are VERY INEXPENSIVE..less than a dollar for both !

Are you making a distinction between "First Issue" and "Scott Number 1" or am I reading into your intent?

For KirkS: Yes, I am making a distinction, I collect first issues not Sc1 stamps (yes, 90% FI are CS1 ). My source is http://www.snap-dragon.com/first_is...guinness.htm
