Well, I've been putting it off for awhile now, but the German stamps are banging on the metal box I have them stored in asking to please be sorted and put away properly.
So, could someone either please post all the regions for the stamps from Germany or direct me to a site that lists all that I need to know so my head can spin.

The diversity of post-war (WWII) local issues is astonishing but most are not listed in SCotts. |

Rod: I am certainly impressed with your file folder list and obviously your organizational skills! . What it has me wondering is "what do those folders hold?" Do you have scans of the stamps in those groups? Or possibly databases of your inventory? It boggles the mind to think what your inventory data fields are, with such organization. Good on ya mate! |

There is also Saar, and Thurn & Taxis.

Could someone 'direct me to a site that lists all that I need to know so my head can spin.' Donna, this site seems one of the best philatelic resources you could ever hope for. This link takes you to the Germany pages: http://www.philadb.com/?site=list&catid=1I'm using it right now to go through my newly-acquired German stamps. |

There is also the old German state of Bavaria or in German, Bayern, very pretty stamps, some embossed, and the older used ones with mill-wheel cancels which I have one of and just lost out on another on ebay because I bid too low. If ya want it ya gotta bid high me thinks. |

Stamporator, sometimes just one stamp :) My Romania I think 3,600 I just scan whatever passes my desk, and use it mainly for ID purposes, (identifying quickly any duplicates, saves opening stamp albums). Nothing Fancy.

Quote: Rod is the man! I knew that I could count on Rod the Wonder Man! He's everyone's answer to anything stamps. A special for jimjamtwo: Heiliges deutsches würste! Herr jimjamtwo, Nun weiß ich, warum ICH blieb mit der Einnahme Deutsch in der High School. Okay, I cheated, just a little though, but I did take German in high school. You're lucky that I can read some of that site. To everyone else that responded....many thanks. Donna |
