Thanks Dianne, Happy to show them. Looking forward to some your latest when time allows !

Phil, That was back when Scott's was so inflated, I sometimes saw dealers offering nice classics at 10-20%, 33% was probably the norm. Todays scott's ( well at least the 2006 I have) seem relatively reasonable. I have always found better deals in wholesale lots from dealers. I don't expect to find the "biggies" , but often there are larger amounts of classics that still have a nice collectibility factor. Wholesale dealers don't usually break each stamp down in price, just looks for the better ones, so varieties can easily slip by........unfortunately so can thins and repairs But live for the excitement! Handling those APS booklets would be scary to me..too many hands to lose them !

Jim, the APS books are a concern..so far we have been very fortunate..i must be doing them for the club for 20 years...a fellow in the club kind of handed the job off to me and never came back..stamp collectors can be strange..my wife kind of likes it..we get first pick on the stamps..and no one else wants the job..if I give it up the club tradition of the circuit books at meetings would probably cease !!

Probably very true. At the coin club, no one listens to the monthly discussion of a specific coin ( type 1 gold dollar last time), they are all antsy to get to the auction! Without the auction, I am sure it would fold also.
