It's not far away now so start thinking about your SCF related New Years Resolution. Mine will be to concentrate on France, Machins and Slania engraved items only and try not to get too distracted with anything else. How long do you give me before I crumble? I've already forgotten to add Swedish booklets

Well, let me think on that. Most likely I will still be going after more items of postal history of my area, plus Canadian military mail, plus Canada, Belgium, Germany etc etc. I showed my list to Santa and he just bowled over laughing Kirk, lots of luck on those flea markets <G> Have a great Chrsitmas Chimo Bujutsu |

My stamping goals for the new year (not really a resolution) are: - to scan my overprint collection and keep the scans current
- put it onto an online site so that it can be accessed online
- to also put it onto a portable electronic device so that I can see the collection when I go to a stamp fair

Just tried to scan something and the scanner won't talk to the computer. |

Anthony, If you spend enough time on the forum, you may be persuaded to change your mind when you see all those goodies. But good luck, give us a progress report. Londonbus1.....at 1am Jan 1st ! |

For your online collection, you should look at Dropbox. You can use your PC to upload things to your Dropbox and then there are apps for all the smart phones -- you could access your files anywhere.
I use it for PDF files I want to have available when I travel

Anthony, if we are going to make any sort of informed guess at how many hours you'll make it with your resolution, we need to know if you are starting now, or on January 1? I vote for not dusting off the resolution thread from last New Years...I'd rather not know... And peterethio, I also want to be able to scroll through my stamp scans on a smart phone but I haven't quite figured out the best file hierarchy yet. To date, I have not been diligent with my file-naming conventions. |

I think it's best to be realistic. I am going to earn more money so I can buy more stamps. Sell some so I can have more money to buy more stamps. Wait a bit and then start all over again. It sounds like so much fun I can hardly wait. |

From Dec 2010 Quote: My stamping goals for the new year (not really a resolution) are:

Stamp viewing is much easier now. Thanks Stampvirgin |
