When you look at
ebay or BidStart or DelCampe you have to look at the prices things sold for, not the prices some people are asking, to get a true value.
Someone selling has to make a profit of some sort to keep selling, unless he is just clearing house. And when you are selling, you will not get the price they are asking. 10% - 25% maybe, maybe more if they have a buyer for that kind of item. The more stamps, the less you get for each item.
There are bargains to be had of course, just be patient. And the more time and effort you put into selling something the better your sales will be.

I am semi-retired and have collected stamps for over 50 years. I have just reentered my collection and decided it was time to upgrade my collection with Unused/Mint stamps to increase my enjoyment f my albums. So far I'm working on my U.S. collection but will eventually begin to get into the world album also. I have 30 years worth of stamps still on the envelopes that I need to sort through and not sure what to do with as there appears to be alot of duplicates and deeply cancelled stamps that I probably won't keep! Looking forward to searching the net for some values out there, anyone suggest any sites than can help me???
