Does the cover have an actual stamp or is it
printed on the envelope?

T360 I can tell you that it is a stamp on the cover..do not know about the battalion etc.

Phil,
Sorry I missed that posting for some reason. It is in my copied pages from the reference book I borrowed from APS library so many years ago, in B/W rather than color , but identified as Battalion 47 of the Infantry. It has the number 299 below it, but I don't know if that is a classification number or just the illustration number. Nice though!!

Nice piece! So much to learn, so little brain power. If only I were retired and independently wealthy. I could spend the time this hobby needs in the library and on the Internet finding out these things.
