The manuscript cancels on each $1.50 Inland Exchange stamp in the imperf block of 6 reads "L R Feb 28 1863."
Revenue stamps were typically cancelled by pen (initials and the date) or sometimes with a company rubber stamp.
Blocks of imperf stamps are scarce because there usually was not space for them on a document.
Horizontal or vertical strips of stamps were more easily attached to the margins of a document and are more common.
