In going through some US first day covers from the 1936 Army/Navy issue, I uncovered this ad used as a filler inside one of the envelopes. I thought it was an interesting period ad for an item that few would use today for such a purpose:

I think, a sturdy little cardboard box
about the size of two standard boxes of matches.
I think 35mm slides were once in boxettes?
