Interesting 1905 postmark with Edward VII, but I only got part of the RECEIVED strike (CEIVED). The church on the front St John's Parish in Egremont opened its' doors in 1833. Nice clean Seacombe Birkenhead postmark. Anyone with a near value or catalog number. Thanks = Jeff

Hi Jeff, It's amazing where postcards and covers can lead you. I was looking to see what I could find out about the church when I realised it was from an Egremont on the Wirral, very close to Seacombe. I'd only ever heard of the Egremont in Cumbria before and thought it was a strange choice of card to send from there!

Nigel - If you only knew my love of England, been twice and could be left there for the rest of my life just enjoying the history, but even with all my reading, genealogy and travel about England, there are still hundreds of towns I don't know, and it really throws me for a loop when they use practically the same name. I should be used to it with same names here in the states, but at least it is usually the same name - different state. - Jeff
