Cherrystone Auctions of New York just finished their specialized sale of Russia, with some outstanding results. Highlights include $63,000 for CO6 Consular Stamp, $46,000 for Telegraph Stamp, $83,375 for the modern Tereshkova imperf. sheetlet, $57,500 for 39a Horizontally laid paper and many others. Prices realized are available now on their website.



RUSSIA Telegraph Stamp 1866 20k black & brown, full original gum, hinge remnant, well centered, light creasing, otherwise v.f., signed A.Diena, E.Diena, Raybaudi etc., wiith 1983 Diena and 1981 Sorani certificates. A major rarity from Imperial Russia, less than 10 copies are known to exist, most with varying degrees of faults,
realized $40,000 plus 15% buyer's commission.
