First released in September 1999 as a standard personalised stamp before international post stamps were first printed.

Reappeared in January 2001 when an emergency print was needed so an international post overprint was used on this stamp but was never an officially recorded stamp release.

Australia post employee Angela Thom is the female image on the stamp tab. It is my belief that this is the only international post overprint stamp we have. It is interesting to see the green gum leaves come through the overprint. Not an easy stamp to acquire. Happy Stamping KGV.

It was announced in the ASB no.258(Jan/Feb 2001) on page 1 of the Specialist Notes.
It is listed in Stanley Gibbons as SG2061 (2001).

Hi BeeSee!
There is a mention in Gibbons but very brief.
Have not got a Scott's.
Also a even briefer description in ACSC Decimals.
I still know very little about this stamp. Like how many were printed etc.
This stamp has a catalogue price that is in my opinion is far to low.
Have been trying to find this stamp for some time now.
It is very hard to find.
These stamps will be put to sleep for 10 or 20 years.
Have another sheet that I will break down.

I would pay good money for a stamp that can be proven to be postally used in the early 2000's with a personalized image on the tab. I would pay over $50 for this stamp. Interesting KGV

Australia's International Post Stamps have been an interest to me for some years now. Have been buying bulk lots on paper for my collection as my interest has grown strongly for these stamps.
For a stamp to fit into this collection of mine. It has to be on paper, to be proven to be postally used and a date that reflects the release date of the stamp or reprint date.
These stamps are totally different to any other stamps I collect. It is my belief that the good stamps on paper as described above will be the most expensive to buy in the future. It is strange to collect on paper but it just seems right to collect these stamps this way.
A used cover would be more expensive again. Happy stamping. KGV
