Hi all,

I was trimming some recent forever evergreen stamps and noticed that I had a couple shade variants of the Balsam Fir stamp. The first one I trimmed seemed to be alot "blue-er" than the next one, which looked alot "grayer". I took out a magnifier and it looked like the "gray" one was missing some blue coloring. Then I trimmed about 15 more and most of them seemed to be the "gray" variety. Any info on two different colors for this stamp? Also, as I was scanning these, I found the microprint "USPS".

Kind Regards,
Dave N.

I'm not sure about colors, but the thing that caught my attention on these is the small white patch on the cone. I've seen this on nearly every example of this stamp I've seen. It looks like a surface scrape but in reality seems to be part of the design. I may have 1 used copy that doesn't show the white patch. Your pictures above clearly show the patch.

Is one copy from the regular booklet and the other from the ATM booklet? There were different printers and printing methods for each.
