Enjoy the most extraordinary images,
of Postmen, postwomen throughout the globe
in this fantastic study.
Beautiful, lovely stuff,
(towards the bottom of the blog)

Found it searching for the artist "B Minne"
who illustrated the Monaco racing cars souvenir sheet from Daniel.

There's not much better than a sack lunch and a thermos of coffee

Great Images, Rod. Thanks.

But use this direct link -- the main link changes often

I saw this thread and image when Rod first posted it and came across it again this morning. At the time I remember having a deja vu moment but it was a fleeting one. On seeing it this morning it came to me. That picture could be a Norman Rockwell painting on a Saturday Evening Post cover. It was the sort of scene he would chose. In my mind that postman even looks like he could have modeled for one of the characters in his paintings. Now was it the barber or was there a guy behind a lunch counter or .....

I just noticed that on the postman's face, the line formed on the side of his mouth from clenching his pipe does not appear on both sides of Rockwell's face. Hmmm! Artistic license, making the artist look better and who will say anything or notice, but a stamp collector!
