A nice article just posted on boston.com today (02/18/2011, even though the article states 2/20/2011 -- so maybe destined for the Boston Sunday Globe.) In any event, it may be of interest to SCF members:

Has anyone been to the museum? I've known about it for years, and it is a rather short drive from here. But alas, I always FORGET about it!

I haven't been to it either, even though it's less than an hour from where I live. I believe there is an $8 admission fee for adults.

Their website if anyone wants further information is at this link:

I have been to the Spellman Museum twice during stamp auctions held there by Daniel Kelleher Auctions .Both times it was a friendly staff and the reference information was excellent ,I could spend a few weeks inside and not get bored ,worth the visit and the price was not a factor ,I think I left a extra donation due to the staff helping me making copies .

I have been there about 4 times or so; just discovered it 2 months ago, about 10 minutes drive from home! Their collections are pretty decent, especially the Zeppelin collection. The store is pretty good as well. My favorite is their 2c box, just sitting there for hours & picking up on-paper issues; some old, some new :D

Just posted on another thread about the Riverside Stamp show that will be held there, on the second Sunday of every month except May.
