Got two stamps today -- a 291

My Trans-Mississippi page is looking better now, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to fill those remaining two spots (unless I win the lottery).

Kirk, Very nice. If the scan is true the stamp is the dark sage green variety (same value). Nice light cancel.

The trans-Mississippi is one of the most beautiful US sets IMHO. And those last 2 are expensive slots to fill :)

Russ: the color in the scan is pretty accurate -- my background is just an old piece of black paper, but it's faded a bit and is "purplish" -- the green in the stamp is bright enough that you see immediately that it's not black.

T360 -- thanks. I was very pleased with the centering. It's not perfect, but it's as close as I'll ever get without spending a fortune.

If I'm not mistaken, aren't those 2 Plate blocks (The cattle in Storm & Mississippi Bridge) over $100K CV ?

RLorenz -- yeah, that's what I'm afraid of -- the $1 and $2 are too pricey for my budget, but maybe, with patience, I'll find an acceptable and affordable example someday
