This certainly looks like wove paper. However, I've been trying to scan a specimen of laid paper, to show up the laid lines, but entirely without success. (I think it needs more sophisticated imaging software than I have.) So this might possibly be laid.
It's very simple to tell the two apart, though. Simply hold the stamp up to the light. Laid paper will show a pattern of thick horizontal or vertical watermark-like lines. If you have any older, good quality notepaper, it's likely to be laid (or imitation laid) paper. Wove paper will show a characteristic woven mesh pattern.
