Does any one here use ebay sales reports or sales reports plus, and if you do what have your experience been. I ask because I received an email from ebay today about signing up for there sales reports program to help my business ( I deal in watch and watch accessories) In the email it showed that I had 15 successful listings in the last 3 months and My average sales was over 1000 dollars. This info would be great but the dollar amount is way off by my calculations ebay owes me about twelve grand if that was my average. I was considering the program till I got this email. Thanks in advance.

I do not but am now curious about them. Do you have to have a store or have a certain volume of sales before it helps to have this?

Don't know about the requirements. I haven't signed up yet and wondered how acurate the info is considering what the email they sent me said.

Hi to all

Having a store is a bit of a con on ebay regardless of volume, they do you no favours and you can save $30 a month by just listing as a private seller. I used to sell a lot of books but I found that the cost of the store was eating in to my profit margins which were small and then they take their fees, and they paypal takes a bite as well. I do not sell on the USA site anymore as Australia Post now imposes a $9 fee for airmail parcels as well as the postage because the USA charges $9 to clear parcels with scanning etc and Airmail postage to USA is high anyway and Seamail takes 6 to 8 weeks, and we no longer have what used to be called surface air lifted which took only three weeks

Ebay, Paypal and the like are necessary evils even for those of us who have only been commanded to clean out our closet or else. However, I do admit that using them with all their various and assorted fees is the equivalent of being nibbled to death by ducks. I think in and out as fast as possible is probably the only choice of the occasional user.

I know all about the evils of paypal and ebay for small sellers, but the original questions is about ebay sales reports figures. I received an email from ebay thyat showed 15 completed auctions with a average value at over a thousand dollars. THis would be great news if the average was right but it is way off. I want to know if anybody uses the program and if it is actually accurate and this email was just off or if they have had any experiencesd with it.
