I've gotta be missing something.

When posting/replying, there's a checkbox to add signature and the FAQ page says you edit your signature via your profile... but when I go to my profile there is no "Signature" section.

What am I missing?

Thanks.

That was a good question, asking about the signature, and thanks for the link, I went to it, and now know about the rules regarding having a signature.

You know, I've always wondered about signatures, but never thought to ask. Do you mean an actual copy of your hand written signature?
Call me paranoid, but in this day and age of on line scams, fraud and identity theft, it seems that putting your personal signature out there for the world doesn't seem like a very prudent idea.

NO NO.... a signature is just a "footer" that gets added to every message you post.

Most of the time, it is a tiny graphic, or it could be a clever quote, adage, philosopy, etc.

For example:

Quote:

Microsoft: Failure is not an option;
It comes bundled with every copy of Windows

You can create/edit your own signature by clicking on MySCF, then SCF Profile

But also notice that other users have a setting available so they don't have to look at your signature -- no matter how clever it is

You scared me there James. You're correct -- you would NOT want to put your actual signature on the Internet
