I've had these for a while, I picked them up with some other covers at a flea market; although I collect US covers/postal history, these are pretty outside the realm of my usual collecting focus. By all appearances, they were sent from Hamburg, Germany to a captive German officer being held at Camp Papago Park in Arizona in 1944, best known for being the site of a rather famous escape attempt by a group of German soldiers.

Is there much collector interest in this type of cover? Although the covers themselves are pretty neat, the letters are unfortunately not included. I could find no information on the German officer himself.

Very interesting. Nice piece of history for a WWII collector.
