I put this on the other day, but I think I misrepresented it. I thought it was a stamp, but when I lifted it there was writing on the back and it is too thick for a stamp. Must be a cut square from a post card. Can anyone ID this piece please.

Hi Jeff, It looks to me like a regular 1841 2d blue with white lines.

These were issued long before Britain had any stamped postcards and the 2d rate would have been much too high so I guess this one's probably still stuck to a piece of writing paper or maybe someone has just written on the back of the stamp for some reason. These early stamps were printed on quite robust paper.
