Reading this topic from beginning to end I guess I can say I have a bit more of on outlook for stamps than I did just minutes ago. My mother (Rockin) got me started on this. Handed over some older stamps and then helped me join this Forum! She has been trying to teach me the difference in cancels and all sorts of stuff. I do find it relaxing. I also find myself staring at the stamps wondering different things if them. I may not know half of what any of ya'll know. Or may ever. All I know is that this is one Hobbie that I hope to pass down to my daughter just like my mother has!

I just had to add that crazycat is a 4th Generation collector! My collection started with my grandfather, and my father took it over and then passed it on to me. I am thrilled that my daughter, crazycat, will be able to take my collection over!

Until a few days ago I was in the same position as Laswabbie......a tolerant wife with no interest [In stamps].

But disaster is about to befall......the wife has decided it's time to renovate the bedrooms and my old cupboard is coming down.
So what? You are asking.
As I wrote somewhere else on the forum, I keep hidden in my cupboard behind all my clothes, a load of stamp stuff. Magazines,catalogues,covers,Postcards,Kiloware,.....in fact the clothes are only a facade !
Now what to do when the cupboard goes?
All will be revealed....and all hell will break loose !

Any suggestions from you male members will be greatly appreciated.

Female members, keep out !
