Just thought I would share my last auction win with you. Was browsing a Norwegian auction site and saw an auction for 1 kg (about 2,2 pounds) of Norwegian kiloware with only 20 minutes to go. No bid so far, and starting at 1 krone (18 American cents). The shipping was reasonable, so I figured why not bid 1 krone and see what happens. And sure enough, no more bidders, so I just bought it for 18 cents. Hopefully its not totally picked for anything useful.

I do get a (some would say twisted) pleasure from winning "Free Shipping" lots on ebay with a bid of less than $0.50. Let us know what you get. |

Great sounding buy yobo! The repayments per month would be very reasonable. The user name yobo sounds very Aussie. Happy Stamping KGV. |

yobo might be aussie. Found the word in an English poem in high school and took a liking to it, adopting it as my internet name. Working on a payment plan as we speak, was hoping to get it over 12 months. |

Hey, well done Yobo! Any more deals like that? Stick them in a bottle and float them down to me in Scotland - thereby saving on postage Look forward to hearing what surprises you find in your kiloware bargain... |

Will let you know if I find anything exciting. I hope to find some good cancellations, especially from my local area. And maybe fill some holes in my Norwegian collection in the 1990s. |

Well, there is no getting any fast ones over on Yobo!
You don't have to worry about competition from me after all. --- I went to the site, but it's not in english and no option to view in english. You are safe until I learn Norwegian!!

I have started sorting through the kiloware. Not the best I've worked with, a lot of the same stamps. But I have found some interesting cancellations, and are having fun working with it, so can't really complain. |

I've finished sorting through the kiloware, so here is the conclusion whether you want it or not. A bit to much excess paper for my taste. There was a lot of the same stamps, but this didn't bother me that much since there was a good spread of postmarks on these. Mainly from the 1950s or late 1980/early 1990s. I don't think I found any new stamps for my collection, but I found some SON-cancellations that will up the quality of my collection. All in all, it was worth the money I spent on it. |
