Hi Everyone,

I gathered up my precanceled stamps. Here are the scans.
(Sorry that some of the stamps in the scans are crooked)

Could someone please take a look and let me know if there are any that might be unusual in any way or if some of them are not considered a precanceled stamp?

Thanks in advance for any information or advice .

Lucky

The Dieterich IL one on the 1st page lower left is a box cancel (i think), that is hand applied at the PO. The Phily ones with the thin double lines on each side are known as electro lines precancel design. I am sure someone with much more knowledge than I can help you out as to unusual, scarce, rare precancels.

Very nice selection! I recognize many of the towns listed, especially in IL.

You have a nice selection of precancels (with a few box cancels mixed in). However, as far as I can see, nothing would be considered especially scarce or rare. In other words, they are all relatively common and probably worth $0.50 or less. The one that I especially like (although I don't believe it has any significant value) is the Centralia, Illinois precancel with no bars (last stamp in your first scan). I expect that would look very nice on an album page.

By the way, if you're interested in precancel information--and even free album pages to download--this link will take you to a site that has a great deal of information (Precancel Stamp Society):

Wt1,

If you would like to have the one with the Centralia, Ill precancel I would be more than happy to send it to you. I'd even make you a custom cover to send it in .
