Rod, you post that beautiful stamp tax stamp and then this. You may have to look at your ODD RODS cinderella for 10 minutes.

I've got a few myself, just hadn't gotten round to cataloging them. Would be interested to learn more as well.

Jeff, I think I get your humour on this,
just be careful one doesn't slip into an elitist
frame of mind.
Even sticky labels with boring barcodes is philately.
It is carrying out postal duty, and representative
of the times we live in currently.

Smauggie,

I have a gaggle of cut squares with the similar
rectangular "S" box with differing codes.
I have
"docmail"
"HM Revenue and Customs"
"DHL global mail"
"TNT post" (argyll and bute council)
"city link" mail
"secured mail"

I looked under "prime post"
here is what they offer
it goes someway to explain the service, but I am at a loss
as how to describe it philatelically.

Prime Post knows well each client's needs and, due to it, offers tailor-made solutions and a personalized service to them, not taking into account whether they are small, medium or big sized. Therefore we offer the best options to your business, aggregated to a guarantee in services, besides highly competitive prices, a qualified logistic support, added to assessment, which is done by high-tech and modern monitoring. The last is coordinated by a team of highly qualified employees. Those who look for IB Freight find a complete company that provides services in all areas of International Trade, and a complete door-to-door service.

Global Mail Services

The easy way to stay in touch with business partners worldwide.

Regular communication with your customers around the world is critical to your business - from product information to promotional mail shots, invoices to annual reports. The result can be mountains of mail that block your mailroom and drain your resources and budgets.

GLOBALMAIL BUSINESS is your answer.

With GLOBALMAIL BUSINESS, Prime collects all your paper-based mail (letters, flats and small packages) and takes care of the rest. There's no need to sort it; there's no need to stamp it.
Simply fill out your air waybill and pack the mail ready for your SkyNet courier to collect. Your mail will be sorted and stamped at a specialised mail-house, then injected into the postal network for final delivery, anywhere in the world. With a choice of both Priority and Standard services, SkyNet has the perfect solution for all your international mail needs.

I agree they do the same job, but the eye appeal is definitely in the first for me. So much of our stuff today is doing a job, but giving some up on how it gets done or what it looks like when it is done. Yes it was certainly meant to be humorous, I would never truly torture you with your "cinderella", but I do find the stamp tax stamp just so much classier. BUT all that aside, I still want to see them all and learn what they are

Smauggie,

The 'm' stands for mailsort. These computer labels are for large quantity business customers.

Rather than have me babble on, you can read about it here:

http://www2.royalmail.com/discounts...rt-3-designs

or here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mailsort

They do make an interesting sideline to a GB Collection.

Rod,
I found this:

Smauggie, an afterthought. The 'HQ' is most likely the Mount Pleasant sorting office near Kings Cross,London.
