Hey guys, maybe this is the wrong forum for this question, but the more I become involved, and the more people I have respond to me as "Lux", the more I wish I'd chosen to use my actual name, and not the same as my Email user name I created back in High school! My family calls me Ash, short for Ashley. I plan on being here for awhile, so "Lux" may wear on me...Anyone know how I can change this? or am I sucking it up?! ~Ash

Hi Lux - erm I mean Ash! I don't know if its possible, but its probably a question for admin - maybe try the Support section? That's where folks go to ask for avatars, probably more closely monitored by admin for questions like yours. If you sign yourself ash on your posts, at least some folks will pick up on that anyhow. Stampgal (not my real name ) |

I know when I signed up in the FAQ section it said that you can edit any of your info in your profile except your userid. Maybe bobby131313 can make an exception or you can just setup a signature line to automatically be added to you posts.
stamperdude is not my real name, its actually my middle name.;) |

Well I think Lux is a great nickname. When I was a wee lad, Lux was a very expensive soap. Sometimes, we would be given 'Lux' for Christmas ! So if you do manage to change your name, can I still call you Lux ? Londonbus1..... |

I guess it's not that big of a deal, it just felt it was a little less personal, though always had a thing with short names ending in "x". We named our daughter Alexis so we can call her "lex" or "lexi" for short ;) Londonbus I've heard of that soap many times, if I come across some I'll pick it up for you and sent it to you for Christmas along with some flag stamps! LOL! |

A Lux and a Lex in the same house....perfect ! What more could you wish for. Just a side note. When I first joined forums millions of years ago, everyone [bar none] used a nickname. It was part of the fun of the forum. Slowly, own names became more popular and I'm not sure why. I prefer a 'nick'....and how I remember some of those names from long ago....... Reminiscingbus1... |

Well my real nickname is BC, from childhood, being my initials. Lux, I suppose if you really wanted to, all you would have to do is sign up another user I.D. BeeSee NOT in BC, but in Oakdale, Louisiana until Monday... |

The only reason Iused my own name is that I don't have a nickname. I couldn't think of a good one. Now I kinda wish I would have taken more time cause some of the ones here are really cool. Maybe I can come with a nickname and use it as my signature. Dianne |

Dianne, maybe we could call you "Early", but not late (for dinner). Does that make sense or am I just waffling again? Steve |
